How donations are received

• Mail-in checks or money orders through Friends of WDAC forms.
• Online donation tools when enabled, such as GiveButter workflows.
• Legacy or planned gifts coordinated through approved recipient channels.

Fiscal sponsor and tax receipts

Friends of WDAC currently operates as a sponsored project with Be Your Best Cottage Grove (BYB). Tax receipt handling and official donation records may be issued through BYB workflows where applicable.

Use of funds

Donations are used for mission priorities described on our Donate page, including but not limited to:

• Advocacy for continued WDAC community access and programming support.
• Community and operational support, including selected equipment and program needs.
• Long-term sustainability efforts, scholarships, and approved strategic initiatives.

If a donation is designated for a specific purpose that later becomes impractical or infeasible, funds may be redirected to the closest mission-aligned use unless the donor requests otherwise in writing.

Refund requests

Refund requests should be submitted in writing within 30 calendar days of the donation date. Please include donor name, amount, date, payment method, and reason for request.

We review requests in good faith and respond as quickly as possible. Some processed fees or third-party transaction costs may not be recoverable.

Planned and non-cash gifts

Planned giving and non-cash gifts can require legal and tax review before acceptance. Donors should consult their own legal and financial advisors. Friends of WDAC does not provide legal or financial advice.
